Tags

Tags have been added to all the books to provide a brief overview of the book's content. Here you'll find an explanation of each tag.

  • Adapted
    The book contains content that was written for students. This means the grammar and vocab may have been intentionally restricted.

  • Authentic
    The book contains content that was written for the general public. Any content not expressly written for students is considered Authentic.

  • Continuous
    The book has a continuous plot line instead of containing multiple stories or topics.

  • Dialog
    One or more chapters are structured as dialogs rather than typical prose. Unlike drama, dialogs have a single scene and often only two characters.

  • Drama
    One or more chapters contain a play consisting of one or more scenes with multiple characters.

  • Fable
    The book contains fables: short stories about animals and people often containing a lesson.

  • Fairy Tale
    The book contains renditions of stories told in the fairy tale genre, similar to those by Hans Christian Anderson or the Brothers Grimm.

  • Fiction
    The book describes fabricated (rather than historical) events and characters.

  • Graded
    The book is designed to get progressively more difficult with each chapter.

  • History
    The book describes historical (rather than fabricated) events and characters.

  • Humor
    The book contains a content intended to be silly or humorous.

  • Medieval
    The book does not follow the grammar of "classical" Latin. Instead it includes some variations introduced before the Renaissance.

  • Myth
    The book contains stories from mythology (not necessarily limited to Greece/Rome).

  • New Voice
    The book contains stories from non-traditional perspectives.

  • Poetry
    The book contains Latin poetry, not necessarily classical in nature.

  • Religious
    The book includes references to religion (not necessarily limited to Christianity).

  • Sheltered
    The book is designed to have a limited vocabulary, but it does not restrict it's use of grammar.

  • Song
    The book contains one or more songs with sheet music.
